Town 3-1 Nottingham Forest Tue 27th Nov 2012 21:59
Guirane N’Daw, Luke Hyam and Daryl Murphy were on target as Town climbed out of the bottom three by beating Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Portman Road. Forest keeper Lee Camp should already have been sent off before he and ex-Blues loanee Danny Collins failed to deal with a long ball and N’Daw netted his first goal for Town. Blackstock equalised for the visitors after the break but Hyam slammed in his first for the Blues after Campbell’s penalty had been saved and Murphy added the third late on.

The Blues were two goals in front at the break after dominating the first half, but the visitors hit back through Matt Taylor before Jason Scotland sealed it late on.
Martin Could Face West Ham Fri 03rd Aug 2012 12:21
Midfielder Lee Martin could be back in the Town squad for tomorrow’s home friendly against West Ham, but Andy Drury is set to miss out (KO 3pm). Hyam and Martin to Miss Millwall Fri 20th Apr 2012 14:11
Midfielders Luke Hyam and Lee Martin are both expected to miss Saturday’s home game against Millwall having picked up niggles in training. Better news for Blues boss Paul Jewell, who is considering including 16-year-old Byron Lawrence as a sub, is that Richard Wright doesn’t require an operation on his knee problem, while Jimmy Bullard was back in training this morning.
Town 1-0 Derby County Sat 17th Dec 2011 17:03
Keith Andrews’s ninth goal of his loan spell saw the Blues to a ground out 1-0 victory over Derby County at Portman Road. The Irishman netted just after the break of a hard-fought but not always quality game.
Jewell Never Heard a Bad Word Said About Gary Speed Mon 28th Nov 2011 12:00
Town boss Paul Jewell says he never heard anyone in football say a bad word about Wales manager Gary Speed, whose death at 42 was announced yesterday. The Blues manager got to know the ex-Leeds, Newcastle and Everton man while they worked for their coaching badges.
Nottingham Forest 3-2 Town Sat 19th Nov 2011 17:15
Town fell to their second 3-2 defeat in two games as Nottingham Forest netted twice in the last six minutes to come from behind to deny the Blues their first win at the City Ground for 12 years. Danny Collins scored two goals in a game for the first time in his professional career, putting the Blues in front twice, but Robbie Findley equalised for the home side before the break, then Joel Lynch and Marcus Tudgay netted another leveller and the winner in injury time.
Jewell Weighing Up Formation Change at Forest Fri 18th Nov 2011 13:06
Boss Paul Jewell will be weighing up whether to stick with his diamond formation or make a change to his system when the Blues take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday. Town are again without central defenders Ibrahma Sonko and Damien Delaney and striker Daryl Murphy, but midfielder Lee Bowyer and frontman Nathan Ellington are both fit again and Tamás Priskin has made it back from Hungary.
Town 2-3 Doncaster Rovers Sat 05th Nov 2011 17:15
Second half goals from Josh Carson and Michael Chopra weren’t enough to stop the Blues from falling to a 3-2 defeat to Doncaster at Portman Road. Dismal Town were very much second best before the break with El-Hadji Diouf (2) and Billy Sharp putting the South Yorkshiremen 3-0 in front at half-time.
